Reason for the project

Why it needed to exist.

Make a complex water infrastructure story understandable through the people responsible for it. El Paso Water serves a desert community where scarce water, sudden rainfall, aging systems, and equipment from multiple manufacturers all shape everyday decisions. The film needed to explain why modernization matters to operators and residents while giving Schneider Electric’s technology a credible place in the customer’s own story.

Goal / aim

What the film needed to make clear.

For Schneider Electric, Content Co-op turned El Paso Water’s modernization story into a film about reliable service in a desert city. Utility voices connect the daily demands of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater with open automation, clearer operational data, and a partnership built for the next generation.

Production approach

How the story was built.

The film moves from El Paso’s landscape and community into the work behind reliable service. Interviews with utility leaders, technology specialists, and an operator create the narrative spine; aerials, treatment facilities, control equipment, and Schneider Electric’s local manufacturing connect their words to physical operations. Maps and technical motion graphics help explain fragmented systems, data delays, IT/OT collaboration, and EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE). The edit returns to trust, human judgment, and the future workforce so the technology stays connected to the people it serves.

Result

Where the work landed.

A 5:33 customer film that gives Schneider Electric and El Paso Water a shared narrative for explaining infrastructure modernization. The finished piece brings community stakes, operational complexity, local manufacturing, and long-term partnership into one coherent story, with the customer’s voice carrying the case for change.
